Another breeder sent this email to me and I thought it importnant enough to send to my list as well.  Please take a look at the Pet Connection web site when you have a minute.  Pretty scary what's happening.  Hope everyone is well ~ ShaniThis is an awful scare/reality.  Here's the latest (today's NEWS)  Latest info on pet food contamination disaster.  Now Hills vet formula has been added (many vet clinics use this) for already SICK pets... and there are MANY unknowns about the source of contamination/type of contamination...in total.  We are cooking for our dogs once again.  Now, we just hope the wheat gluten is not also in OUR BREAD products for human consumption!  The chemical found in the rat poison causes birth defects, let alone death.  Does Europe/Australia, etc. buy their gluten from China as well?  Anybody know if those countries are experiencing this nightmare too?  Please let me know.  Obviously, we can't trust the AGENCIES to get it all out in the open in an expeditious fashion.  Folks on my breeder list were reporting several instances of vomiting yellow bile/problems with Nutro kibble, yesterday....  Everyone please protect your pets and keep an eye out for updates on CNN about the recall.  Also, the FDA website and MENU foods SHOULD be keeping fresh updates ongoing.  We will see.  Terrihttp://www.petconnection.com/blog/2007/03/30/pet-food-recall-fda-press-conference-report/

We've added a special section in the gallery dedicated to the forsaken Neapolitan mastiffs we currently foster.  "RESCUE ME!"  It will be updated from time to time so feel free to check it often.  Please keep in mind these dogs have been granted a second (sometimes third, fouth and beyond) chance at life.  A life we often take for granted.  Many of them have NEVER known the comforts of home like you and I share with our beloved mastini.  Nonetheless, they are mastini and SOMEONE BRED THEM and did not honor them by taking them back in their time of need.  To these brave mastini this section of the gallery is dedicated.  Please respect them for they did not choose their lives.  Help us insure their futures will be only golden by pledging a donation to www.neorescue.net or by advocating their existence and need for care through becoming an adoption owner or volunteer.  We all share this planet together, so should we live together -no matter where we began.
