Internet Explorer is now in its 7th version. Netscape is now in its 7th version. There are also other great browsers out there that have also gone a long way toward supporting standards. If you happened to get here from a link at the head of one of the other pages of this site, that means you're probably using a browser that has been on the market since about 1996. Our Advice

For one of the biggest companies on the face of the earth, Microsoft's Internet Explorer actually has poor support for standards. We recommend using Mozilla or Opera (linked above) for a more enjoyable experience. They offer more complete standards support and better control over preferences including tabbed browsing (instead of having to open a new window, and therefore browser instance, for each new site) and even control over how pop ups are handled.
